PowerPoints Supporting Project ACHIEVE Implementation:

In order to provide more information regarding different parts of the Project ACHIEVE process, the following pdf's of various PowerPoint presentations (click on each title) are available to download and for your use.

PowerPoint 1--  Positive Behavioral Self-Management Systems: Blueprint and Building Readiness

This PowerPoint describes provides an evidence-based overview of the blueprint for Project ACHIEVE's Positive Behavioral Self-Management (PBSS) System, along with the characteristics needed by buildings before they begin to implement this PBSS approach.

PowerPoint 2-- Positive Behavioral Self-Management Systems: Skills, Accountability, Consistency, and Special Situations

This PowerPoint describes research underlying the four most critical interdependent components of a PBSS approach, along with practical examples of how the research translates into practice. The discussion also shows how a preventive system is needed as the core of a continuum that helps to address more complex "special situations" like teasing, taunting, bullying, harassment, and physical aggression in schools.

PowerPoint 3-- The Stop & Think Social Skills Program: Understanding the Language and "Skills and Scripts"

This PowerPoint describes how and why the Stop & Think language works, and why students learn best when they are taught using a cognitive behavioral approach of "skills and scripts."

PowerPoint 4-- Teaching the Stop & Think Social Skills: The Social Skill Lesson

This PowerPoint describes the critical elements of a Stop & Think Social Skills lesson.

PowerPoint 5-- The Stop & Think Calendar and Teaching Classroom and Building Routines
